Zion Custom Shop Classic 24

$4,075.00

This double-cutaway, carved-top guitar is the world’s first all-USA made 24 fret Zion Guitar.

The body is made from a single piece of premium swampash and is topped with a bookmatched premium swampash top. This makes the guitar fairly light and comfortable to play for long periods. It’s also very resonant and sustains just about forever. I strummed a chord on this guitar the other day, then went to make a sandwich. It was still ringing when I got back to the set-up room.

The fingerboard is Bloodwood, a South American hardwood (not-endangered, btw). Bloodwood is nearly as dense as ebony and its natural oils make for a very fast, smooth playing surface. Notice the inlay… we call this Crescent Moon and is a Zion original design.

The pickups are Seymour Duncan Jazz (Neck) and JB (Bridge), one of my favorite combinations. Under the hood you’ll find a 5-way mega-switch that auto-splits to the inside coils and outside coils of the humbuckers (#4 & #2 positions on the 5-way). It’s no mistake both pickups are mounted with the screw-coils facing the bridge side. The auto-split matches a screw-coil and slug-coil from each pickup (in both positions) and provides two very respectable s-type tones. Best part is, it’s hum-cancelling in all positions.

Face it, you need this guitar…
